\nIn July 2018 the world watched and waited as 12 boys and their coach were trapped in an underground flooded cave needing to be rescued. The boys were on their way deep into a dark and cavernous place of no return. When the boys went in it seemed relatively easy; but as water flooded in, the way back was narrow, constricted, impossible. The Bible warns of a \u2018way of destruction\u2019. \nGeorge Mueller – Hero of the Faith<\/a><\/strong><\/em>
\nGeorge Mueller was born September 1805 in Kroppenstedt in Prussia. His name is legendary amongst those who have lived \u2018by faith\u2019 and practised that in their ministries.

\nGeorge Whitefield – Hero of the Faith<\/a><\/strong><\/em>
\nArguably the greatest revival apart from the Reformation itself began in the late 1730\u2019s and extended for almost 50 years. It was dubbed \u2018The Great Evangelical Awakening\u2019. It was a sudden, sovereign and unexpected move of the Holy Spirit that swept through England, Scotland, Wales, parts of Continental Europe, and the New England colonies in America. This Awakening touched millions of lives of men and women of all classes. It literally changed the course of history and shook the moral fabric of society. One of the most influential preachers of these days was George Whitefield.

\nGuillaume Farel – Hero of the Faith<\/a><\/strong><\/em>
\nIn 1492 a devout Roman Catholic, Jacques Le Fevre, a popular doctor of divinity and scholar in languages, became professor at Paris university. He began to read the Bible earnestly and was challenged by many verses. He began to expound passages and an increasing number of students were attracted to his Bible studies. After 17 years at the university he met up with a 20 year old Roman Catholic, Guillaume Farel. Farel was disturbed by the sinful lifestyles of Parisians and found friendship and a like mind with Le Fevre. He became a disciple of Le Fevre, and they became lifelong friends and often read the Bible together.

\nJohn Newton And Amazing Grace<\/a><\/strong><\/em>
\nJohn Newton was born in 1726 the only child of Captain Newton who was a master in the Mediterranean merchant trade. While John feared his father who was a harsh and hardened seaman, his Christian mother was gentle and devoted to her son and his religious upbringing. John learned Scripture and hymns as a child until age seven when his mother died. His father on returning from a sea voyage soon married again. John was sent to a harsh boarding school and drifted away from religious thought.

\nThe Life of John Bunyan<\/a><\/strong><\/em>
\nAmong the great Puritans who shaped nations appears the name of John Bunyan. He is best known for his writings such as \u2018Pilgrim\u2019s Progress\u2019, reputed to be the second best selling book of all time.<\/p>\n
