Much emphasis today is being placed on ‘Spiritual Warfare’<\/strong><\/em>. ‘Deliverance ministries’ abound. Demons are being blamed for sinful behaviour and are being ‘driven out’<\/em> of Christians. Territorial spirits and strongholds are supposedly being broken and cast out of areas of the earth. \u2018Spirits\u2019 of varying kinds are being named – there are supposedly spirits of Jezebel, control, death and hell, divination, python spirits, insecurity, lying spirits, filthy mind, ego, vanity, forgetfulness, suicide, asthma, allergies, autism, dyslexia, blindness, homosexuality, materialism, greed, egotism. Then there are lists of \u2018curses\u2019 – sexual perversion, pride, rebellion, stubbornness, etc. Many of these \u2018spirits\u2019 and \u2018curses\u2019 are simply never mentioned in scripture as \u2018spirits\u2019. Rather, they are mentioned as sin!\u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>There are also methods of \u2018cleansing\u2019 rooms or houses in which spirits are \u2018bound\u2019 and then the \u2018blood of Jesus\u2019 is placed around the doors and boundaries.\u00a0 All of this is again totally outside of scripture.
